Nominate me for the British LGBT Awards!

Hi there! I’m looking for your support to nominate this innovative post for the British LGBT Awards 2018.
Since my appointment by Camden LGBT Forum in February 2016, I’ve been working with Camden, Wandsworth and Tower Hamlet councils and numerous LGBT support networks in London and the UK, writing and performing poetry that promotes LGBT+ diversity and acceptance.
During my three-year tenure in this post, I’m hoping to make a significant difference to the quality of our lives. I write poems to highlight nationally and internationally recognised LGBT days and events. With my project “Poetry to Power Social & Cultural Change” I’ve been working with Stop Hate UK, the Metropolitan Police and the Young Citizens Educational Project, writing poetry that tackles issues such as hate crime and bullying, challenges sexual stereotyping and promotes safer policing.
On a lighter note, this year I’ve written and performed poems for London Pride and for many regional Pride events. I also regularly host INCITE@The Phoenix and “Camp Confidential.” Both are residencies in London’s West End that explore celebrate and nurture the fabulousness that is us!
Please nominate the post of LGBT Poet Laureate for the British LGBT Awards 2018 in the category of ‘Outstanding Contribution to LGBT+ Life’. It only takes a minute to submit a nomination at http://britishlgbtawards.com/nominate_public/; nominations close on 30th November. Your support is very much appreciated.
